There’s a saying that you should never give money to poor people because they don’t know what to do with it.  I wouldn’t say I’m rich, but I have found that rich people and poor people definitely think differently about money.  The first part of The Millionaire Fast Lane takes a look at the types of people and their relation to money.  If you have read this type of book before, you will find a lot of common themes in this section.  It may be refresher, but it is a good reminder just the same.

Business Principles

The rest of the book looks at business principle for potentially becoming rich.  He breaks down his system into a series of laws or principles to evaluate a business to see if it has potential to be a sustaining source of income long term.  It’s a really good system to look at what you are doing and see if it meets the criteria.

I think the appendix is probably the most important section of the book.  This is a list of 40 lifestyle guidelines (beliefs) that successful people have.  Definitely worth the cost of the book all by itself.
